Dr. Lynn Beard Dr. Lynn Beard received a Bachelor Of Science from West Virginia University College of Agriculture and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing small animal medicine for 41 years. She & her husband Buddy enjoyed watching their son Ryne play baseball for many years until he graduated from college. Dr. Beard also enjoys gardening, playing the piano, reading and is an active member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. The family enjoys 2 dogs, Wheezie and Gabby & 2 cats, Sofie & Simon.

Dr. Cathleen Connelly
Dr. Connelly joined our team in December 2022. She is a graduate of Colorado State University Veterinary School. She did an ultrasound residency at University of California at Davis. In addition to seeing dog and cat patients, she also treats exotic patients.

Tracy
Tracy was born and raised in Pennsylvania but recently relocated to Virginia when her husband accepted a position with Goodyear. Being a wife, mother and grandmother are her favorite things! She has been in veterinary medicine since 1995, and can not imagine doing anything else. One of her passions is being an advocate for mental health awareness. Her hobbies include supporting local musicians and celebrating the little things in life.

Cheryl
Cheryl has been a veterinary technician for 23 years. Her hobbies include watching NASCAR racing and Dallas Cowboys football games as well as traveling with her husband to her favorite destination - the beach! she shares her home with 3 dogs and 2 cats.

Donna is from Clover, Virginia where she lives with her husband, two dogs, & three cats. She has three adult children and three grandchildren. Donna has worked in veterinary medicine for over 20 years. She loves animals and the joy that they bring to peoples lives. Her favorite thing to do when not at work, is to spend time with her family.

Cheyanne began working in our Camp K9 in March 2020. After realizing her love for animals and wanting to help them, she moved inside to become a technician. She has a cat named Henry.

Will
Will was trained for cat and dog grooming through Petsmart Academy in 2015 in Minnesota. He has over 15 years of experience working in private salons, mobile grooming, and his own grooming business. In addition to grooming, he has experience in management and training new employees. He grooms cats and dogs of all breeds and ages, and can do AKC breed standard pet clips. Will has a passion for grooming, and his main goal is to make your pet look and feel great.

Sophia
Sophia has over 25 years experience in veterinary medicine starting as a large animal veterinary assistant then moving into small animal practice. She became a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) in 2005, and is now the office manager at the clinic. She enjoys trail running, doing stained glass, and spending time with her husband, their 5 cats, and their Bassett Hound Hank.

Jeanene
Jeanene has 15 years experience as a receptionist in the veterinary business & is a lover of all animals, especially felines! She has one kitty of her own named Triskit. Married for 26 years and a mother of three children, Jeanene likes to spend time with her family and enjoys making crafts.

Kathy
Kathy has 12 yrs experience as a veterinary technician and is now working as one of our receptionists. She has a love for animals, especially for her Bernese Mountain Dog Joey and her Great Pyrenees Max. When not at work, she and her husband enjoy spending time with their 2 children as well as spoiling their 3 grandchildren.

Dr. Laura Dover Luffman, is Co-owner of our practice as well as the owner of Animal Medical Center on Riverside Dr. She is a native of Georgia and a 1994 graduate of Auburn University's School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing small animal veterinary medicine in the Danville area for 25 years. She is the proud mother of 4 children and shares her home with 4 dogs & 3 cats. Her hobbies include reading, flute playing, watching her boys play soccer & football, & being active in the community. Her clinical interests include internal medicine cases, preventative medicine, & surgery. She enjoys building a lifetime relationship with her clients and their pets.

Lisa is Co-Owner of our practice and is the Practice Manager here as well as of our sister clinic, Animal Medical Center and has been for 28 years. She handles all the behind the scenes action here and at AMC. Her furry companion is a Golden Retriever named Riley. Lisa loves to travel and spend time with her husband Dee and her children Evan and Cara.

Lindsey
Lindsey loves helping animals get better and learning more about them and their needs. She has 4 dogs, all chihuahuas, ages 11, 9, 7 and 6 years old. She also worked at the Danville Area Humane Society for about 2 years. She has always wanted a job where she could help animals get better.

James
James enjoys going out shopping and eating with family and friends. While he is figuring out what he wants to go to school for, he really enjoys working in Camp K9 with all of the different dogs. Even though he hasn't worked at Mt. Hermon Animal Medical Center for very long, he has grown to care for and love each and every dog as if they were his own.
